Gazebos

All the information you need for setting up your gazebo pitch in the Churchyard

Please read the information below very carefully.

Arrival time

You are welcome to arrive from 9am. Please don’t arrive before this as the organisers need time to set up.

Securing your gazebo
Gazebos must be secured with weights and ground screws where the guy ropes run vertically down next to the legs of your gazebo.

Guy ropes which extend at an angle are not permitted as these are a trip hazard. This is a condition of our insurance.

You MUST weight your gazebo prior to setting up your products. During stall inspection, if your gazebo is deemed to be incorrectly weighted, we will insist that this is addressed before you are permitted to trade. If you cannot weight your stall, you will not be allowed to trade.

At the past markets, we have seen gazebo's blowing over, despite being weighted. This is a huge health and safety risk and cannot be allowed to happen again. The smallest gust of wind can cause your gazebo to tip over and break. Please take these directions on weighting extremely seriously. We are cracking down heavily and will not allow you to trade if our instructions are not followed. This is for yours and your customers safety and the health of your gazebo!

Please bring weights and guy ropes with you on the day. the market organisers do not supply these for you.

Market areas

We spread our Gazebo pitches out around the Churchyard on the grassy areas. We try and keep gazebo pitches next to a pathway but at very busy markets, you may be placed back from the path.

Some pitches are located on the St Mary’s Church Hall side of the market grounds. This means you may have to carry your products from your car to your pitch.

If you require a pitch in a specific area, please email us with your request as soon as possible after booking so we can try and allocate you a pitch which meets your needs.
